In her artworks, artist and biologist Aline Schwörer often creates seemingly hybrid creatures that are reminiscent of archaeological findings. They seem to come from an indeterminate time. The artist sees the sculpture as a further development of her ‘Fragments of Landscapes’ series. This bowl is more than just a functional object. Each one is a unique work of art and a statement piece that will enhance any dresser or dinner table.

About Aline Schwörer

Aline Schwörer (born 1993 in Calw, Germany) is a Berlin-based artist working primarily in ceramics. A graduate of the Universität der Künste Berlin, she was awarded the UdK President’s Prize in 2022. Her sculptural works explore the meeting point between natural and artificial materials, often resembling fragments of landscapes or future artefacts.

About Ceramic

Ceramics encompasses hand-built, wheel-thrown, and sculptural works created from clay and transformed through firing and glazing. Each piece reflects the artist’s engagement with material, form, and surface, highlighting both technical skill and creative expression.
